COLD SHOULDER – Fall/Winter 2009
A Fall Winter collection for the extremities of the darkening season. On occasion, in the dead of winter you need an extra boost of energy from the vibrancy of bold color, on the other hand sometimes the only comfort is to disappear in the shadows in head to toe black. Sometimes your shoulders need an embellished defense to keep company away, and yet when they are bare they are asking for an embrace. I wanted to make clothes that not only related to one another, how they stacked and created new imagery, how they related from the wearer to observers and companions, but mostly clothes that moved and created a visceral experience and evidence of the wearer’s action.
I graduated from Parsons with a BFA in fashion design in May 2009/
